Ruby Dee has shared her love of acting with us on screen and stage for the better part of heradult life.   images-2 Pamela Suzette “Pam Grier” born May 26, 1949 (age 64) African American Actress…became famous in the early 1970’s with a string of Blaxploitation  films. a pioneer in black female film roles. Quentin Tarantion remarked that “Pam Grier” may have been Cinema’s first female action star. images-6 Cicely Tyson, African American Actress born December 19, 1933 Nominated for an academy award for best actress and the Golden Globe award for her performance as Rebecca Morgan in Sounder. The Autobiography of Miss Jane Pittman…which she won 2 Emmy Awards.   Throughout her career she has been nominated nine times for primetime Emmy Awards. Winning Three.

African American Child Actress…known for her leading role as “Hushpuppy” in the critically acclaimed film “Beast of the Southern Wild” (2012) for which she became the yongest actress to recieve a nomination for the academy Award for Best Actress.
